About Hangman

Hangman is a classic word-guessing game for players of all ages. One player thinks of a word and the other guesses it letter by letter. Every wrong guess adds another part to a simple stick-figure drawing — and if the figure is completed before the word is solved, the guesser loses. In this version the computer picks the word and gives you a category hint to get started. You get six wrong guesses, so choose your letters wisely!

How to play

• Read the category hint for a clue about the word.
• Click letters to guess — correct letters fill the blanks.
• Each wrong letter draws one more part of the figure.
• Solve the word before the drawing is finished to win.

Tips

• Start with common vowels (E, A, O) and frequent consonants (R, S, T, N).
• Use the word length and hint to narrow down possibilities.
