Lights Out is a deceptively simple electronic puzzle from the mid-1990s. You start with a 5×5 grid of lit and unlit tiles, and the goal is to switch every light off. The twist: tapping a tile toggles not just that tile but also the four tiles directly above, below, left, and right of it. That chain reaction makes planning essential — a random tapping spree usually makes things worse. Every board this game generates is guaranteed to be solvable.

Tips

• Tap tiles in the top row until only the bottom row stays lit, then work the pattern from there.
• Order doesn't matter — tapping the same tile twice cancels out.
• Aim to clear the board in the fewest moves.
