About Space Invaders

Space Invaders is the 1978 arcade smash that helped launch the video-game industry. A formation of aliens marches back and forth across the screen, dropping lower with every pass and raining bombs down on your laser cannon. You slide left and right along the bottom, picking off the fleet one alien at a time. As their numbers thin, the survivors speed up — and clearing a whole wave only summons a faster one. Hold them off for as long as you can.

Tips

• Thin out one column so the formation has more room to turn — it buys you time.
• Keep moving; a stationary cannon is an easy target for bombs.
• The back rows are worth more points, so shoot up through the gaps you make.
